DiGata.com has a few guidelines that we ask our members to stick to. These rules are here to keep the message boards safe and fun. So please take a moment to become familiar with them:
Rule #1: Do not post personal information
What is personal info? Well, it's basically anything that could allow someone to figure out who you are and where you live. So for safety reasons you cannot post stuff like:
- Your full name (first name is fine but never your last name!)
- Your address (this includes the town/city you live in)
- Your phone number
- The school you go to or the names of any sport teams you play on
- Any email addresses (this is because someone could use that address to find out personal info about you)
- Your ICQ #, MSN name or another other contact info for instant messaging or chat services
- Asking members for personal info is also against the rules. It's fine to ask for their first name or ASL (age/sex/location) but keep it at that! (And don't harass them if they don't want to tell you!)
Rule #2: No inappropriate language or inappropriate behaviour
DiGata.com does not allow swearing, sexual talk, explicitly violent talk, racist comments or any other form of abusive language on our message boards. Remember this site's for 6-18 year olds so keep what you say appropriate for that age group. Using symbols (!@%$#) to represent swearing is NOT allowed either!
Also, please keep your behaviour appropriate. Don't tease, insult or harass other members. Treat others how you want to be treated. And remember - everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so don't criticize others for liking something that you don't.
Not quite sure what would be considered appropriate? Well, keep this basic rule in mind: "If you wouldn't say it in front of your parent or teacher, don't say it on the Beyblade.com message boards!"
Rule #3:
Don't post links to other Websites - we can't check out all sites to make sure they're appropriate for kids.
Rule #4:
In order to protect your safety, we don’t permit the posting of outside events or tournaments (whether Beyblade-related or not). Advertising or promoting a tournament/event may give someone the impression that it is associated in some way with Digata.com when, in fact, neither the website nor Nelvana has any involvement with it. In such instances, we do not assume any responsibility or liability for any harm, injury, etc. that may result from such tournament or event, and will immediately notify you that the posting will be deleted.
Rule #5:
This is an English website with English speaking Moderators, so please stick to English posts, only.
Digata.com members are expected to know and follow these rules. Breaking a rule can result in having your account suspended (usually just for a day but can be longer depending on the circumstance.) If you continue to break rules, or if you do something that is considered extremely inappropriate, your membership will be revoked. We also reserve the right to contact your parents if you are abusing the site or its members.
